Opal Shadow Analysis
TRACE prepared shadow modellings for a DA in Sunshine Coast. Overshadowing impacts resulted from the proposal was compared with the acceptable solution outcome to inform Council. Calculation of shadow hours was effective to see the effect of fenestration on casting shadows during the hot season as well as comparing overshadowing impacts on neighbouring properties with future intended buildings.
