Geoart as creative practice

We are excited to announce the official launch of GeoArt as a core component of our creative practice at Trace Visual Planning + Design.

GeoArt is a unique fusion of mapping, cartography, GIS, geography, and design thinking, developed to inform and inspire community engagement through visual storytelling. Rooted in the disciplines of landscape planning and environmental design, GeoArt transforms complex spatial data into compelling visual narratives that connect people with place.

Through this creative practice, we aim to bridge the gap between science and art, offering new ways to explore and communicate the challenges and opportunities within our urban and natural environments. By integrating geospatial analysis with artistic interpretation, GeoArt invites communities to see their landscapes with fresh perspective—sparking dialogue, reflection, and action.

As part of this exciting evolution, we will be producing a series of original artworks, exhibitions, and community-led projects that exemplify the power of creative cartography in landscape planning and place-making.

Stay tuned as we continue to grow this practice and share our journey.
