TRACE was engaged to analyse impact of proposed resort in North Queensland on views to forested ridge lines. Skyline analysis in GIS provided a sophisticated tool to analyse potential sight line intrusions by the proposed development. This technique is highly useful in visual assessment using 3D models  to define height thresholds and avoid potential obstruction of views.
